2025 Northwest Iowa Farmer's Market Training Set for March 24
Sioux City, IA – The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach - Woodbury County and Siouxland District Health Department is excited to announce the 2025 Northwest Iowa Farmer's Market Training, scheduled for Monday, March 24, 2025. This event offers essential training for farmer’s market coordinators, vendors, potential vendors, and food safety inspectors looking to enhance their knowledge and compliance in food safety and licensing at farmers markets.
Participants can choose between two sessions: an in-person session from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. and a hybrid session (in-person and virtual) from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. Local experts will provide valuable insights into Iowa's food licensing requirements and safety measures necessary for operating at farmer's markets. Attendees will also learn specific requirements for selling jams, jellies, and cottage foods.
