Sioux City, IA - Get ready to step into a world of magic, music, and memorable lessons as Sioux City Community Theatre’s Youth Program proudly presents Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins Jr., a delightful stage adaptation of the beloved classic, running October 9-12 at the Sioux City Community Theatre.

Based on the iconic Disney film and the Broadway musical, Mary Poppins Jr. brings the Banks family, their mysterious and magical nanny, and a host of colorful characters to life in a 90-minute musical filled with unforgettable songs, high-energy choreography, and heartwarming moments the whole family will enjoy.

The story follows the seemingly stern Mary Poppins as she swoops into the Banks household and transforms their lives with a mix of discipline, imagination, and a touch of magic. Featuring beloved tunes such as “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” and “Let’s Go Fly a Kite,” this junior production celebrates the power of kindness, creativity, and family.

The production is directed by Angela Iversen, assistant directed by Tricia Swan Albright, student directed by AnnMarie Pistello, with choreography by MacKenzie Daniels.
