CMBA Architects Announces New Additions to Leadership Team
Sioux City, Iowa – CMBA Architects is pleased to announce that Matthew Kreutzer, Joseph Copley, and Angela McCaulley have been named Associate Principals and will be joining CMBA’s experienced and dynamic leadership team.

Matthew Kreutzer lives and works in Grand Island, Nebraska, and brings over 10 years of experience to the CMBA team. Matthew is a University of Nebraska-Lincoln alum who graduated with a Master of Architecture. During his 10 years at CMBA Architects, Matthew has led CMBA’s BIM+ team, working to continually enhance the company’s BIM capabilities, standards, and overall quality of work. Matthew is a graduate of Hall County Leadership Tomorrow Class 33, a Grand Island Top 35 under 35 award recipient, a Grand Island 2024 EDGE Training graduate, a GIPS Academy of Technical Science Advisory Board member, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and has volunteered for a number of local events including the Race for Grace, Nebraska State Fair, and Little League softball coach.
A graduate of Iowa State University, Joseph Copley brings over 12 years of experience to the CMBA Architects team. During his eight years at the firm, Joe has demonstrated natural-born leadership and developed close relationships with his clients. Joe lives and works in Des Moines, where he is a visible leader in the community. He is heavily involved with the American Institute of Architects, serves on the Iowa Commercial Real Estate Association and Central Iowa Architects Section boards, is a CMBA social member of TACE, and volunteers with the Family Cancer Network.
Angela McCaulley specializes in healthcare design and lives and works in Spencer, Iowa. Angela comes to CMBA Architects with over 17 years of experience, and in her four years at CMBA, she has helped create spaces that improved patient care and streamlined operations, and opened new doors for the firm. Outside of the office, Angela is involved with the American Institute of Architects, has served as an advisory member and board member of the Spencer Hospital Board of Trustees and Spencer Hy-Noon Kiwanis (respectively), chairs the Spencer Planning & Zoning Commission, is a trustee on the Iowa Architectural Foundation Board, serves on the Clay County Compensation Board, and is a member of the City of Spencer Industrial Park Design Board.
In addition to typical job responsibilities, the new associates will provide input to the executive team on operational improvement, analyze business processes for profitability and improvement, refine internal operations, play an active role in research, and continue to showcase leadership.
