Salary: $750.00 Per Credit Hour
4 Credit Hours per Session

This position is located at Hawk Building, Ho-Chunk Village, 503 Chief Little Priest Drive, Winnebago, NE, 68071.
Purpose of Position:
The Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) Instructor will instruct students according to the curriculum designed to assist students to build knowledge and clinical skills aimed at passing the licensing exam for Nebraska CNA. Assist students in registering for the Nebraska State CNA licensing exam. The instructor must possess the ability to work with students from different socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. The instructor will teach a minimum of 76 hours of classroom instruction, approximately 7 weeks, with absences and holidays, it usually goes into the 7th week with makeups. We need someone who is flexible and willing to do the makeups, otherwise students wouldn’t be successful. The salary of employment will be contracted per class.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide on-site instruction in the areas of entry level care giving for Nursing Assistants.
- Build knowledge and develop clinical skills aimed at assisting students to obtain the CNA license
- Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation, interpersonal skills development, and concepts of good patient care
- Plan, select, prepare and implement appropriate active learning activities to meet all course competencies.
- Prepare, and/or select and utilize reliable and valid formative and summative in-class assessment tools/techniques to measure students' achievement of course competencies.
- Distribute, in written form, course competencies, performance criteria, established approved grading procedures and standards, attendance and class policies/procedures, and other necessary information to students at the beginning of the course.
- Deliver instruction using active learning methods which accommodate different learning styles.
- Provide guidance and advice to students regarding course progress, program areas, or other academic concerns.
- Review and revise as necessary delivery methods, instructional materials, learning activities, and assessment tools.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to be covered by the Tribe’s insurance.
Qualifications:
Requires a licensed RN or LPN, with at least one year of experience in their field and experience teaching adults or supervising CNAs. Condition of Employment:
- This is a 100% on-site position.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background screen.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
- Must have a valid driver’s license without restrictions and must be insurable.
