Cathedral organ concert
The Cathedral Arts Series presents Dr. Carrie Groenewald, concert organist from Dordt University on Feb. 15 at 3 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Epiphany at 1000 Douglas Street in Sioux City. Groenewald will be performing works based upon hymns and psalms by Bruhns, Speuy, Sweelinck, Matter and Bastiaans. Admission is free and open to the public. All are invited to stay for sung vespers at 4 p.m. immediately following the concert.
Bishop's Dinner for Catholic Schools returns to the diocese
After nearly a four-year absence, the major diocesan fundraiser for Catholic schools is returning to the Diocese of Sioux City, with a few changes to involve a wider group. “We are very excited to announce the return of the annual Bishop’s Dinner for Catholic Schools,” announced Heidi Probasco, director of stewardship and development for the diocese. “The theme is Rooted in faith – forming saints and scholars.” The event is set for Oct. 11 at the Marriott Riverfront Convention Center in South Sioux
