Position Overview
The Export Sales Manager supports international sales activities of all product lines for the company. Responsibilities include maintaining existing and developing new customer relations. Interfacing and developing working relationships with distributors in international markets to maintain and grow business. Duties require position to be regularly engaged outside of the office in making sales calls, attending trade shows and marketing events.
Job Functions
- Will supervise, develop, coach and challenge sales team to meet goals and sales objectives. Define priorities for your direct reports in alignment with market activities and priorities.
- Interface with regional customer base including but not limited to distributors, retailers, and operators. Will interface with customer’s key leadership teams responsible for tactical customer contacts that may include Sales Consultants, Territory Managers, District Sales Managers, marketing teams and chefs. Will develop and maintain relationships to generate and grow sales. This position has accountability to support accurate order processing guidelines and ensure pricing and margins are properly evaluated. This position is responsible for and will handle questions, concerns, and other customer needs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage schedules for distributor representatives to perform presentations with restaurants, casinos, hotels, retailers, and other food service venues. Coordinate meetings and monitor product flow for 8-12 distribution partners within assigned countries. Responsible for follow up with customers regarding product and questions.
- Maintain and grow existing sales in 8-12 distribution houses while continuing to elevate sales growth. Working closely with management to meet goals and expectations set by owners of company.
- Required to be an asset to the company’s end customer regarding areas such as beef industry knowledge, technical trade verbiage, market trends, marketing, and cost management.
- This position is expected to support strategic initiatives for the overall organization such as new product development, continuous process improvement, and enterprise project participation.
- Participate in national and international trade shows including other food show related activities. Interacts with potential leads, responds to inquires and provides timely and appropriate follow up with customers.

Skills and Abilities
- Must be Bi-lingual. Proficient in both Spanish and English required.
- General computer knowledge and proficiency.
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

Physical Requirements
- Required to travel for extended periods of time. Nationwide and international travel required.
- Duties require position to be regularly engaged outside of the office in making sales calls, attending trade shows, and marketing events.
- Must maintain a valid, unexpired driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle record check, and always remain insurable through the company insurance program.
Experience:Previous experience in meat related field preferred. Seven plus years or customer sales experience a plus. Experience must include supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing or related discipline from four-year College or University preferred.
