Warehouse Supervisor
Overview
Supervise and coordinate all warehouse coordinator activities. Manage all inventory quantities through re-order points, order quantities, periodic physical inventories, and equipment revisions. Support empirical’s research and development activities through a hands-on approach for machine development, where machinery is often built, modified, scrapped, re-designed, re-built, and re-modified as part of a continual process of change based on the specific goals and challenges associated with any one project. This requires warehouse managing and training of personnel to be responsible for the receiving, tracking, and issuing of parts during this development process.
Responsibilities
- Review and assign shipping or receiving work order requests for movement of materials.
- Responsible for maintaining the physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and control inventory by performing physical counts and reconciling with ERP System. Responsible for making suggestions on inventory levels and tracking of old equipment for re-work.
- Direct department activities; administer personnel functions including hiring selection, performance evaluations, and salary adjustments. Develop work schedules and assign work to warehouse employees.
- Responsible for walk through of Assembly facility and assigning additional cleaning duties to janitor.
- Review and create stock and non-stock requisitions from perpetual inventories and work orders, obtaining ordering information and authorization signatures.
- Communication between corporate’s purchasing and engineering departments on part transfers, non-repair parts, purchased parts, and shipped parts to other locations.

Qualifications
Skills and Abilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude or background in working with precision machine parts.
- Basic math skills.
- Prior Inventory Control Management and Safety Management experience.
- General computer knowledge and proficiency with experience in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Experience with an ERP system is preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds.
- This position requires walking, standing, twisting, reaching, bending, climbing, and lifting.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Warehouse Management and Inventory Control experience is preferred. Must meet occasional and frequent driver requirements as defined in the Driver Safety Policy.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent, or verifiable ability to perform essential job functions.
