Full-Time Authorization Specialist

This position is responsible to ensure coordination with patients, insurance companies and co-workers of surgical, ancillary testing, medication and other precertification processes and requirements.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Candidate must have minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service setting; six months medical experience and Pharmacy Tech experience preferred.
• Work closely with clinical staff to complete authorization requirements to minimize or avoid denials. Coordinate preauthorization and notifies insurance company and patients in a pleasant, consistent, and efficient manner.
