Position: Full-time Faculty Math Instructor                          FLSA Status:  Salary, Exempt

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.        Salary: $65,000 annually
Work hours may vary as needed to fulfill assigned responsibilities.                                                        
 
Reports To: Channing Stellato, Vice President of Academic Affairs

This position is located in person on the main campus at 601 East College Drive, Winnebago, NE, 68071
 
Purpose of Position:
The Math Instructor is responsible for teaching a variety of mathematical courses in various Associate degree level programs and in the general education curriculum. Such college-level mathematics courses include developmental math, quantitative literacy, technical math, algebra through calculus, and applied statistics, among other courses.
 
 
Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person, online, or hybrid instruction for various math courses, adapting methods to diverse student needs.
  • Design, review, and revise course syllabi, curriculum, and learning materials to ensure compliance with academic departmental standards,
  • Advise Liberal Arts students, guiding course selection, career pathways, and internship opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, and ensure timely submission of reports and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Academic Affairs to ensure curriculum alignment, course scheduling, program assessment, and student support services.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development activities, and other institutional initiatives.
 
 
 
 
 
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in appropriate mathematical content coursework from an accredited college or university. A doctorate is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the college or university level is preferred.
  • Ability to work well as a member of a department and campus community at a liberal arts college is essential.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), preferably Canvas.
 
Travel:
Occasional travel may be required.
 
Condition of Employment:
  • This is a 100% on-site position.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background screen.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license without restrictions and must be insurable.
