Cooperative Education and Career Services Coordinator
Nature of Work |
Coordinates cooperative education and/ or career services activities related to workshops, employer engagement and presentations. Assists with development and implementation of cooperative education, internships, and experiential learning programs. Assists with identifying, recruiting, and preparing students for the cooperative education program and internships by coordinating placement interviews, presenting in classes, facilitating workshops and class discussions, and delivering individual career advising meetings. Cooperative education program duties may include providing personal, program, and career coaching and intervention techniques to an assigned caseload of cooperative education students and attending cooperative education programming and courses to facilitate skill development and discussions. Interprets, monitors, analyzes, and reports on data collected in employer-student Career Services Manager (CSM) database. Provides career preparation of interviewing skills, resume development, cover letters, and job applications assistance to students and alumni.

1. Assist in the development, sustainability and adaptation of co-op programs. 2. Assist with the organizing activities and identifying needs related to multiple cooperative education programs. 3. Coordinate and attend employer activities, events, site visits, employer networking and off- site activities. 4. Assist with cohort student recruitment, retention and development; in-class activities including attending classes and leading breakout sessions or group discussions. 5. Maintain an assigned caseload of students from initial enrollment to graduation building relationships, coaching, and facilitating skill development to support students in achieving their cooperative education goals. 6. Utilize CSM and Canvas to process, track student assignments, employers and experiential activities. 7. Other duties as assigned. |
Required Qualifications |
Associate’s degree or work-related experience.

Organizational skills, event planning, advising or student activities experience.
