Ho-Chunk, Inc. is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a ribbon cutting for the Siouxland business community. The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska started the company in 1994 to help its people by creating jobs and diversifying the Tribe’s revenue. Ho-Chunk, Inc.’s approach has since evolved to create both an economy and a middle class in the Winnebago community. Ho-Chunk, Inc.’s diverse portfolio includes businesses in federal contracting, gaming, farming, construction and more. Today, the company is also a major employer and economic driver of the tri-state Siouxland region, with real estate developments in Sioux City and South Sioux City.
