Ribbon Cutting - Born Learning Trail, Crystal Cove Park
Leadership Dakota County, The City of South Sioux City, and United Way of Siouxland are happy to announce the installation of a Born Learning Trail at Crystal Cove Park in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Please join the Siouxland Chamber and South Sioux City Chamber for a ribbon cutting to mark the official opening of the trail.
The joint project was led by Leadership Dakota County members Anne Lee, Jessica Barnes, Erica Munoz, and Shelly Larsen.
The trail features signs in English and Spanish with instructions for simple games and activities along with colorful sidewalk pictures. The trail’s theme encourages parents and caregivers to follow the child’s lead, encourage their curiosity, and turn an everyday experience into a great learning opportunity.
The Born Learning Trail is part of United Way’s focus to improve kindergarten readiness. The trail supports language, literacy and social skills development for small children, and reminds us that learning can be fun!
