As the school year comes to a close and summer break begins, it's important to consider the impact of this transition on children's mental health. Amy Small, LISW, Child and Adolescent Therapy Team Lead at Siouxland Mental Health Center will explore the challenges that children may face during this time, including adjusting to a new routine, coping with changes in social dynamics, and managing anxiety about the unknown. She will also discuss strategies for supporting children's mental health during the summer months, including building a sense of structure and routine, encouraging healthy habits, and providing opportunities for social connection and engagement. Join us as we explore this important topic and learn how to help children thrive during the transition from school to summer.
There will be Q & A after the presentation.
