Ground Breaking - Warrior Hotel

Mayor Bob Scott and representatives from the Siouxland Chamber joined forces with The Warrior hotel and Davidson Building renovators Amy and Amrit Gill of Restoration St. Louis at the official groundbreaking ceremony this morning. The ribbon-cutting, preceded by a brief ceremony inside, occurred in front of the main entrance to the hotel, at 6^th and Nebraska.

 
As part of the celebratory renovation kick-off, the Gills are looking for photos and written recounts of treasured memories experienced by guests and locals at both locations as part of their $73 million restoration project. The 10-story art deco-style hotel and 6-story neighboring building will open in the fall of 2020 as the Warrior Hotel and Davidson Apartments under the Auspices of an Autograph Collection Hotels by Marriott, the first in Sioux City.

When completed, the Warrior Hotel will feature 148 guest rooms, 11 suites, 22 luxury apartments, a second-floor full-service restaurant, and a signature ballroom featuring a terrace. A luxurious spa and sauna, barbershop, and retail shop will be located at street level; basement amenities will include a large swimming pool, fitness center, bowling alley and lounge area. The Davidson Apartments will have an additional 56 rooms on the second through fourth floors, 20 luxury one- to two-bedroom apartments, two one-bedroom lofts, and street-level commercial space opening onto 6th and Pierce.
