Government Relations Committee meetings are free and open to all members of the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce.
Chuck Holz is serving his second term in the Iowa House. He was elected by special election in November 2015.
Chuck grew up on a crop and livestock farm near Rippey, Iowa. He graduated from East Greene Community School in Grand Junction, IA, and attended Iowa State University, graduating in 1976 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. From there, he moved to Le Mars, Iowa where he practiced mixed animal medicine for thirty-eight wonderful years. In 2013, he sold his practice.
Chuck spent eighteen years on the Le Mars School Board, is a long time member of the Le Mars Rotary Club and a member of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ. He, and his wife Pat, together have three sons; Joshua, Christopher and Daniel. They also have three grandchildren.
Jacob Bossman is serving his first term in the Iowa House. He was elected by special election in December 2017.
Jacob is a graduate of Morningside College where he earned a degree in Economics. He served on the staff of U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley for over 12 years. Jacob is a longtime member of Morningside Lutheran Church. He currently serves on the Morningside College Alumni Board. He also coaches YMCA youth soccer and has volunteered for Siouxland Youth for Christ and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland's Every Classroom Counts program.
Jacob and his wife, Carmen, live in the Morningside area of Sioux City with their twin daughters.
