DESCRIPTION:THE ECONOMY NEEDS A SHOT OF WHAT?\n\n	 \n\n	The Siouxland Chamber of Commerce/The Siouxland Initiative and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach / CIRAS are pleased to announce Ernest Goss will address the next Siouxland Industrial Roundtable meeting. \n\n	 \n\n	 \n\n	The Economy Needs a Shot of What? \n\n	The National & Regional Economies\n\n	 \n\n	The Obama Administration and the Federal Reserve have advanced a multitude of  measures intended to stimulate the economy.  What are they and have they worked?   Goss will provide his answers and will discuss how current proposals\, if implemented\, will affect the national and regional economies.  He will also provide an overview of the Mid-America and Rural Mainstreet economies as gauged by Creighton's four monthly surveys.   Will the region move with or against the national economic tide?\n\n	 \n\n	Ernest Goss is the Jack MacAllister Chair in Regional Economics at Creighton University.  He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Tennessee and is a former faculty research fellow at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center.   Goss is cited monthly in approximately 100 newspapers including the New York Times\, Wall Street Journal\, Investors Business Daily\, The Christian Science Monitor\, Chicago Sun Times and others.
