SUMMARY:Ribbon Cutting - Siouxland Freedom Park
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate the completion of Siouxland Freedom Park's paving project. \n\n\n\nThe project  was completed this summer by HCI Construction with engineering from Olsson Associates.  The new paving includes a half-circle driveway up to the Interpretive Center with parking available for handicapped visitors and disabled veterans.  It allows for a drop off area at the Interpretive Center for other guests.  Limited parking is also available now next to the Freedom Rock.  According to Marty Hogan\, Siouxland Freedom Park board member\, "This new driveway and up close parking was much needed for our visitors to the Interpretive Center and the Freedom Rock.  We are happy to have this completed and ready to use prior to our Grand Opening of the Interpretive Center which will be Nov. 10.  We will also now be able to accommodate school buses and tourist buses as they come to check out the exhibits and the other features of Siouxland Freedom Park."\n\n\n\nThe new paving also includes an expanded parking lot on Veterans Drive directly across from the Interpretive Center. Safety lighting will assist visitors in crossing Veterans Drive to walk up to the Interpretive Center.
