DESCRIPTION:Join us as Catholic Charities breaks ground on their new addition\, Angeline's Wing for Children & Families. \n\n\n\nAngeline's Wing is named in memory of Angeline Thom of Ashton\, whose estate bequest has been instrumental in making this project possible. Her gift provided critical matching dollars for the Missouri River Historical Development Economic Development Match Grant. Many more generous donors will be recognized at the event for their vital role in bringing this vision to life.\n\n \n\nRML Architects designed the 7\,200 square foot addition to be bright\, cheerful and welcoming for young people. H&R Construction was selected as the contractor. The new wing includes:\n\n	An expanded entrance and waiting room\n	Offices for specialized youth mental health therapists\n	Psychiatrist suite with private check-in room\n	Age-appropriate therapy spaces for play therapy\, youth therapy & art\n	Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT) room\n	Group Therapy spaces\n\n Since its founding\, Catholic Charities has remained steadfast in its mission to those most vulnerable\, especially children. Today\, the need for specialized youth mental health services is greater than ever. "Angeline's Wing will be a place of hope for so many young people and their families\," said Amy Bloch\, LISW\, Executive Director of Catholic Charities. "We are grateful for the support from our Board and staff\, the diocese\, donors and community partners and are eager to see the healing that will happen within this beautiful space."\n\n \n\nCatholic Charities of the Sioux City Diocese was established in 1943 and has offices in Carroll\, Fort Dodge\, Sioux City and Spencer. Catholic Charities empowers and strengthens individuals and families through charity\, advocacy and mental health services.
