This 9-month program teaches leadership skills and provides participants valuable knowledge about Siouxland. The monthly sessions focus on various aspects of Siouxland, including education, public safety, non-profits, arts and social media, economic development and politics and government. Participants go through the Gallup Strength Finder and learn how to turn their talents into strengths. A Positive Leadership curriculum is taught, which focuses on different aspects of leadership, including authenticity, purpose, advocacy, resilience, community building, reason and gratitude. Participants work in teams to partner with a community agency to complete a project that will add value to the community. This year, participants also were able to experience firsthand a refueling mission by the Air National Guard Refueling Wing.
