LifeServ Blood Center Territory Representative
LifeServe Blood Center is a non-profit organization committed to saving lives.
This position, based in Sioux City, is responsible for recruiting, directing and training volunteers to organize blood drives and help secure volunteer blood donors. Responsible for recruiting a specific number of donors to ensure a stable blood supply in regions where LifeServe collects blood products.
A full benefit package is available with medical insurance options starting as low as $9.13 per pay period.
Primary Responsibilities of this Position Include:
*Recruiting, directing and training volunteers to organize blood drives that exceed monthly goals in Western Iowa and Northeastern Nebraska.
*Establishing strategies to grow volunteer blood donor base.
*Providing exceptional customer service while educating volunteers, donors and hospital customers of the importance of blood donation and the organizational requirements to propel LifeServe Blood Center's mission of saving lives
*Coordinating activities and organizational resources associated with blood drives to ensure success
*Maintaining accurate records to provide tracking and statistical data on account performance
*The territory representative position will interact and represent LifeServe Blood Center professionally with community leaders, medical personnel and government officials, requiring professional-level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in parts of Western Iowa and Northeast Nebraska including Woodbury, Cherokee, Monona, Cuming, Crawford, Ida, Harrison, Wayne, Cedar, Dakota, Thurston, Burt, Dixon, Pierce, Knox and Holt Counties.
A travel allowance is available based on the size and travel expectations of this territory. Applicants can expect a balance of office and home based work.
Education and/or Experience:
*A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications, or related degree
preferred. Two years of job-related recruitment, sales, fundraising, marketing and/or public
relations, volunteer or event management experience is required.
*An Associate's degree in business, marketing, advertising, communications, or related degree and two years of job-related recruitment, sales, fundraising, marketing and/or public relations, volunteer or event management experience is required.
*High School Diploma and 5+ years of job related recruitment, sales, fundraising, marketing and/or public relations, volunteer or event management experience is required.
*Day travel is required within assigned territory with some other travel as needed
*Self-motivated and excellent time management skills to build new relationships at the same time developing current volunteers
