  • Lead efforts in developing and maintaining best practice methods in performing repairs, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance and other related activities for multiple sites.Ensures team provides consistent technical support across all shifts with smooth and effective shift changes.As required, this leader will assist the organization to make decisions regarding performance and employment of technical support staff.Lead by example and exhibit stewardship of team members and company assets.

  • Effectively manage and develop a technical team.Determine technical team member schedules and coordinate activities at all distribution center sites.Ensure effective resources (manpower and assets) to eliminate downtime while minimizing impact on facility operations.Share and communicate key learning’s in a manner that will help grow technical capability of others.On a continual basis will effectively build technical skills and soft skills to provide career development in others.

  • Able to effectively plan and perform detailed preventive maintenance inspection(s) of equipment while maintaining electrical and safety standards.Ensure all maintenance and upkeep is appropriate.Manage and perform with a team, emergency and scheduled service events.

  • Able to quickly troubleshoot, repair, service, adjust, or test equipment such as:conveyor systems, palletizing systems, crane systems, operating systems, material handling equipment, control devices, support systems, utility systems, and safety systems.Responsible for prioritization of system reliability issues and appropriate action steps.

  • Takes a leadership role in maintenance, repair and upgrade projects:Ability to gather, streamline, and motivate people to complete activities promptly and effectively.Responsible for effective project execution which includes scope, timeline and budget.Initiate problem-solving activities.

  • Collaborate with inside and outside personnel to secure the right resources for effective completion of tasks.Takes initiative to continually improve technical competence of self and team.Works effectively with a team of engineers, technicians, and other resources to diagnose and troubleshoot operational issues.Recognizes and communicates deficiencies and brings forward corrective action plans.Effectively builds consensus in the organization leading to appropriate solutions.

  • Communicates issues promptly, accurately and effectively.Recommends appropriate solutions.Takes action with appropriate stakeholder awareness and/or approval of solution plan and timeline.Exhibits strong and effective communication and collaboration skills with operations team to troubleshoot and determine appropriate solutions jointly.

  • Maintain current, relevant industry knowledge. Keep abreast of industry trends, developments and innovations which may enhance or improve facility conditions, equipment reliability and product quality. As needed provide subject matter expertise as it relates to empirical’s objectives and business priorities.

  • Skilled in training and developing others, organized and able to manage projects, schedule and delegate work.Ideal candidate will possess complex problem solving / critical thinking skills and be detailed orientated.

  • Above average knowledge of software, hardware, and networks used to operate equipment and industrial processes.

  • Communicates effectively with all levels of employees as necessary both verbal and in written form. Ensures appropriate stakeholder awareness and/or approval of solution plans and timelines.

  • Power distribution, electrical wiring, control systems, control devices, software, machinery and equipment, and utility/support equipment used in industrial manufacturing environment.

  • Relevant training, education and/or certifications such as, 2 or 4 year degree in relevant technical areas or military training.

  • Must have regular and punctual attendance.
