HELP Grant Career Coach/Recruiter

General Description – Under direction of Health Education Ladder Program (HELP) Project Director, this position is responsible to coordinate, plan, and facilitate career and employment services for Project HELP participants. Services provided to students include but are not limited to: job skills development, placement and support services to participants. The successful candidate will provide advising and counseling services to students about careers, jobs, and internships. Responsibilities also include working with numerous community entities to identify and recruit potential grant participants, facilitating job trainings and workshops to participants, providing and coordinating services between local TANF partners, employers and project participants.

Skills-Requires the ability to communicate detailed grant admissions, registration, instructional, and curriculum information in a simple and concise manner. An awareness of the health care community and ability to work with agencies to recruit students is required.

Education-A Bachelor’s degree is required. Applicants who do not meet the degree requirement will only be hired conditioned on obtainment of a Bachelor’s degree. 

Experience-Requires three years of related experience, as well as a high level of general education and professional ability to administer student service programs, conduct correspondence, make presentations, and counsel and advise students.

Special Instructions to Applications – This position is contingent on grant funding on a yearly basis for up to five years and is not guaranteed after grant funding ends.
