The purpose of this position is to instruct classes and labs as assigned by the Dean and to develop new courses. This is accomplished by maintaining requisite office hours; providing academic advisement to students; serving on college committees; attending meetings; participating in professional development activities; and performing all instructional-related activities as directed within the policies, guidelines, and regulations of Northeast Community College.
Bachelors degree in appropriate area required. An Associate of Applied Science degree in Drafting and five years of related work experience is acceptable.
Experience using AutoCAD and related software as an instructor/trainer or as a drafting technician is required. Teaching/training others and construction experience preferred.
Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit with a high comfort level for learning and working with new software and technology. Must be proficient with reading and comprehending construction documents, and be familiar with a wide variety of construction materials.
