Director of Adult Education

The purpose of this position is to lead and direct the operations and procedures of the Adult Education programs. This is accomplished by supervising personnel, coordinating facilities, establishing Adult Education locations, overseeing the department’s budget and other financial funds, creating and initiating grant proposals and state reports in collaboration with the Northeast grants office, coordinating student schedules for instruction programs, developing a bridge between Northeast credit programming and Adult Education, developing short and long-term plans for the department, and leading college and career readiness initiatives for Adult Education students.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Education, Public Administration or other related field. Master’s Degree preferred in Business Administration, Education, Public Administration or other related field.
Experience: Over one year in higher education, preferably in adult education.
Skills: Supervisory experience; grant development and implementation; budget management; federal grant experience; excellent writing skills; ability to travel independently.
