Job Description
Instructor will teach expanded health care instruction to P2T and other HS Health Science Academies classes as well as additional needed instruction in the healthcare arena in the surrounding areas of the West Point Extended Campus and the main campus at Norfolk. 
This position will meet instructional needs for both credit and non-credit classes while meeting our high school partners needs with area K-12 schools for technical education to support health science care career pathways. 
This instructor position will teach courses primarily but not limited to: certified nurse aide instruction, medication aide, first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques for health care providers additional courses may be planned in the instructors area of expertise as needs arise in the Allied Health Department.

Education: Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Preferred knowledge is normally acquired through completion of two to four years of college resulting in an Associate of Degree of Nursing and or Bachelor’s degree, and current lisensure as a Registered Nurse. An unencumbored liscence and with three to five years work experience required. Expereince working in long-term healthcare would be preferred.

Experience: Over three years up to and including five years. Experience working in long-term healthcare would be desired.

Skills: Current certification as a registered nurse with an unencumbered license.
