Job Description

This position will assist the director and coordinate the establishment and delivery of adult education services across the Northeast Community College 20-county region. The coordinator supervises English as a Second Language (ESL) instructors and volunteers. Teaching subjects in the basic skills areas is required as assigned by the Director of Adult Education. The coordinator will develop new courses and basic skills curriculum as needed.

This is accomplished by maintaining requisite office hours; providing academic advisement to students; working with the director on new and existing programming; serve on college committees; attending meetings; participating in professional development activities; and performing all instructional-related activities as directed within the policies, procedures, and guidelines of Northeast Community College.

Education: Bachelors degree in a related field required. Preferred degree in education.

Experience: Over one year up to and including three years in the adult education field.
