Director of Accounting Services
The purpose of this position is to provide oversight and management of the financial records for the College, the Foundation and the Facilities Corporation. This is accomplished by overseeing accounting and business functions of the College; maintaining accounting systems and procedures; providing oversight for the preparation of financial reports; supervising Accounting Services department staff; overseeing grant and contract accounting, managing the fixed assets system; overseeing the Foundation and Facility Corporation accounting functions; maintaining awareness of local, state and federal laws and regulations relative to business and accounting functions; and exchanging pertinent information with vice presidents, deans, department heads, staff and students.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration – Accounting.
Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Requires three to five years of progressively responsible accounting experience in business, government or postsecondary education. Supervisory experience is required.
