The Affordable Care Act for Small Businesses
Krissa Mason & Dustin DeGroote, Iowa Insurance Division
Confused about health care reform? Come get the facts about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and health reform from the Iowa Insurance Division, the state agency that regulates the business of insurance in the State of Iowa. The Iowa Insurance Division is also the lead agency in the state of Iowa that, in partnership with the federal government, is implementing several aspects of health care reform.
The Insurance Division will discuss reporting requirements for businesses under the ACA (new in 2015), small business tax credits, the SHOP marketplace, and other requirements for employers under the ACA. This is an excellent opportunity to come learn about the ACA and what it means for your business. There are many new changes this year, so it is important that small businesses be informed. The Iowa Insurance Division will give a presentation followed by a question and answer session with state officials.
