Perkins Family Restaurant & Bakery's Eastgate location has remodeled and they will celebrate with a Chamber ribbon cutting followed by muffins, juice and coffee.  CyHawk Hospitality owner, Jim Rahfaldt states, “We’re very excited to introduce the new look of our stores to the Sioux City community.”

The restaurant’s remodel package, developed by Louis+Partners Design out of Akron, Ohio, features both external and interior enhancements, all of which according to Rahfaldt “demonstrate Perkins^® long-standing commitment to ensuring a positive and enjoyable dining experience for our guests.” The exterior of the restaurant includes Perkins signature oval logo along with a welcoming interpretation of the entry arch and a contemporary take on the trademark green stripe awnings. Additionally, the downtown location will soon have a new 70-foot long flag that is one of the brand’s trademarks.
 
Inside, guests are drawn into a fresh, warm, comfortable environment showcasing an abundant bakery along with an array of dining zones. The dining areas have been remodeled to include changes in seating, lighting and graphics, creating greater overall appeal, and the Eastgate location has two meeting rooms that may be reserved in advance.  Free WiFi is available.

The Sioux City locations employ approximately 80 employees.  The downtown location is open for business 24 hours every day of the week, while the Eastgate location is open at 5:30am every day and closes at 11:00pm Sunday-Thursday, and at Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.  The restaurants serve Perkins legendary menu including breakfast items such as omelets and buttermilk pancakes that will be available all day, a complete line of lunch and dinner offerings and Perkins freshly prepared bakery products. A seniors’ as well as a kids’ menu are also offered.  Both locations offer a free slice of pie with the purchase of each adult entrée on Mondays, and ‘Kids Eat Free’ every Tuesday.  “What makes our menu so appealing is the fact that there is something for everyone,” adds Rahfaldt.  “We are extremely excited to introduce both of our remodeled locations to Sioux City. Our history and success with Perkins is strong here we’re looking forward to everyone seeing the restaurant’s new look.”
